Advisory

An observation that may need monitoring or future work but does not necessarily prevent a pass.

Calibration

A controlled process that aligns a sensor, camera, control or measurement system after certain work.

Diagnostic trouble code

Stored information showing that a control system detected a condition; it supports diagnosis but does not identify a failed part by itself.

Fixed price

A stated price for a defined scope, subject only to clearly disclosed conditions.

From price

A starting price that may change according to vehicle, parts, access or scope.

Fulfilment method

How a service is delivered, such as workshop, mobile, collection and return or recovery.

High voltage

Vehicle systems requiring specialist safety procedures, training and controlled isolation.

Interim service

A maintenance visit with a narrower scope than a broader or manufacturer-schedule service.

Parasitic drain

Electrical consumption that continues while the vehicle is parked and can discharge the battery.

Quote required

A service state where more information or inspection is needed before a firm price can be confirmed.

Recovery

Safe vehicle movement using suitable transport equipment when driving is not practical or safe.

Service history

Records showing maintenance dates, mileage, work, parts, fluids and provider details.

Supplementary estimate

Additional proposed work or cost discovered after agreed inspection, requiring authorisation.

Vehicle off road

An operational status used when a vehicle should not return to normal use until an issue is resolved.
